The DeWalt DCS525N-XJ 18V XR Brushless 165mm Plunge Saw is DeWalt’s new-generation cordless track saw for professional joiners, kitchen fitters, cabinet makers and site carpenters.

Powered by the widely used DeWalt 18V XR battery system, the DCS525 provides the accuracy of a plunge saw without requiring a separate 54V FLEXVOLT battery. It can be used freehand or with compatible DeWalt guide rails for controlled plunge cuts, trimming, cross-cutting and long, straight cuts through sheet materials.

Its brushless motor produces a variable no-load speed of 2,500–5,400rpm, allowing the cutting speed to be matched more closely to the material and blade being used. The 165mm blade provides a maximum cutting depth of 59mm without a guide rail or 54mm when mounted on a compatible DeWalt rail.

Electronic anti-kickback protection monitors the saw for a potential bind or sudden rotational movement, while an LED provides a visible warning when the system is activated. This works alongside the controlled parallel plunge action to provide greater confidence during demanding plunge and track-saw applications.
