Adzy’s Marketplace Terms
Adzy’s Marketplace is a classified advertising service. Adzy’s Goods provides space for sellers to advertise tools and related equipment and for interested buyers to contact sellers directly.
Adzy’s is not part of the sale
Adzy’s Goods is not the seller, buyer, agent, broker, payment provider, escrow provider or delivery provider for marketplace transactions. We do not collect or hold the purchase price, take commission from a sale, arrange delivery of marketplace items or guarantee that a transaction will complete.
Any agreement to buy or sell is made directly between the buyer and seller. Users are responsible for agreeing the price, payment method, inspection, collection or delivery and any other transaction terms between themselves.
Listing fee
The marketplace listing fee is a fixed advertising fee for publishing an approved advert for the stated listing period. The fee is not a commission and is not dependent on whether an item sells. Unless otherwise stated, a standard listing runs for 30 days.
Manual approval
Listings are manually reviewed before publication and edited listings may be returned for review. Approval means only that the advert has passed our marketplace rules. It does not mean Adzy’s has physically inspected, authenticated, valued or guaranteed the item or seller.
We may reject, suspend, hide or remove an advert where we reasonably believe it breaches these terms, presents a safety or fraud concern, contains misleading information, or is otherwise unsuitable for the marketplace.
Seller responsibilities
Sellers must have the legal right and authority to advertise and sell the item. Listing information, photographs, condition, model, price and other details must be accurate and not misleading. Photographs should show the actual item being advertised.
Where requested, sellers must provide a serial number or identifying information for a tool. Adzy’s may retain this information privately for moderation, fraud prevention and responding to lawful requests.
Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, recalled products, unlawfully held goods, goods subject to undisclosed finance, items with deliberately removed or altered identifying marks, illegal goods and other prohibited items must not be listed.
Buyer responsibilities
Buyers are responsible for carrying out their own checks before completing a purchase. This includes inspecting the item, confirming that it matches the advert, checking condition and suitability, checking serial numbers or identification where appropriate and satisfying themselves that the seller has the right to sell it.
Payments
Adzy’s does not process marketplace purchase payments and will never ask a buyer to send the purchase price to Adzy’s. If another user sends a link or message claiming Adzy’s is holding, protecting or guaranteeing marketplace funds, do not pay and report it to us.
Safety and communication
Users should follow the guidance on our Marketplace Safety page. Where available, we recommend keeping initial communications through the Adzy’s messaging system. Users should not share passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary financial information.
Reports and suspected stolen goods
Listings may be reported for suspected theft, fraud, counterfeit goods, unsafe products, misleading information or other rule breaches. We may temporarily hide a listing while reviewing a report.
Where required or permitted by law, relevant account, listing, serial-number and moderation records may be provided to law enforcement or another competent authority.
No guarantee
Seller checks, serial-number recording and manual listing review are intended to improve marketplace safety. They do not guarantee the identity or conduct of a user, ownership or authenticity of an item, its condition, legality, safety or the outcome of a transaction.
Consumer and legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a professional trader sells to a consumer, additional consumer-law obligations may apply directly between that trader and buyer.
Changes and enforcement
We may update these marketplace rules as the service develops. Continued use of the marketplace after updated terms take effect means the user must comply with the current rules displayed on the site.
